| CITES listing and annotation | CITES Appendix III #1: Nepal / wood and wood products |
| CITES explanatory notes | Products require a CITES export permit only for the countries of origin named in Appendix III. For goods originating in the other Parties, a certificate of origin is sufficient; however, it must also be issued by the competent CITES Management Authority. On re-export, the goods must be accompanied by an appropriate re-export certificate. There is therefore no substantial difference from Appendix II as regards documentation; the difference lies mainly in the less stringent conditions for issuing export permits in the countries of origin compared with Appendix-II species. |
